THE PIZZAS
We have a deep passion for dough, especially the contemporary version that creates delicious pizzas with a high, airy crust. For our dough, we select the finest flours from Mulino Petra, including flours made from ancient Sicilian grains and enriched with cereals. The perfectly leavened and perfectly baked dough is topped with premium ingredients: some of the finest Italian cheeses and cured meats, and local, seasonal vegetables. This creates excellent pizzas that will win you over from the first bite!

We offer a rich selection of delicious Italian gelato, made entirely by our master gelato makers according to original, traditional recipes. From classic to contemporary flavors, Vecchia Taormina's artisanal gelato is always deliciously creamy. If you're visiting the center of Taormina, it's ideal for a refreshing break or a sweet treat at the end of a meal. We'll whet your appetite with our delicious gelato cups... a true triumph of flavor.


AT THE BORDER
Another of our signature dishes, much appreciated by all our guests, is Sicilian granita. As experts in high-quality pastry and gelato, we prepare artisanal granitas with the finest ingredients, following an authentic local recipe. The result is incredibly creamy granitas with an exceptional flavor. Because we love excellence, we also make our own "typical brioche col tuppo" (a typical brioche with a tuft) to accompany our granitas and gelato.

OUR HISTORY
Vecchia Taormina was founded in the thriving Taormina of the 1990s as a restaurant and pizzeria. Immediately recognized for the quality of its cuisine, it garnered acclaim for the next 10 years of operation.
In 2001, the restaurant changed ownership, passing into the young hands of Claudio and Vanessa. The new owners, with a rich family history of restaurant experience behind them, embarked on a gastronomic adventure that would change their lives.
A decisive change of direction that tied them in a double loop to their homeland, Sicily.
